Emmy Awards 2017: Όλες οι υποψηφιότητες και το παρασκήνιο

Όπως κάθε χρόνο έτσι και φέτος, τα βραβεία Emmy ανέδειξαν τα καλύτερα προγράμματα της -Αμερικανικής κυρίως- τηλεόρασης και η λίστα του 2017 έχει ανακοινωθεί.

Παρά το γεγονός ότι το Game of Thrones είναι μία από τις πιο σειρές με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες των τελευταίων χρόνων, οι υπόλοιπες σειρές στην κατηγορία «Δράμα» δεν χρειάζεται να ανησυχούν φέτος, μιας και δε θα βρεθούν αντιμέτωπες με την την σειρά του HBO που έχει σπάσει ρεκόρ. Το Game of Thrones δεν είναι υποψήφιο στα φετινά βραβεία επειδή η πρεμιέρα της 6ης σεζόν (που είναι την Κυριακή 16/07/2017) είναι μετά την καταληκτική ημερομηνία.

Στην κατηγορία «Δράμα», παρ’ ολ’ αυτά, βρίσκουμε τη σειρά Westworld του HBO – που συγκέντρωσε συνολικά 22 υποψηφιότητες – μαζί με το Better Call Saul από το AMC, The Handmaid’s Tale από Hulu, το This Is Us του NBC, και τα House of Cards, Stranger Things και Τhe Crown από το Netflix.

Όσο αναφορά στις Κωμωδίες, στο κλασσικό Veep από το HBO και το Modern Family του ABC προστέθηκαν το  Black-ish από ABC, το Silicon Valley του HBO, το Atlanta από FX και το Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt και Master of None από Netflix.

Τα “σνομπαρίσματα” και οι εκπλήξεις δεν έλειψαν ούτε από αυτή τη χρονιά. Ήταν μια δυναμική σεζόν, όμως το House of Cards κατάφερε να εξασφαλίσει μια θέση στην κατηγορία Outstanding Drama, εκτοπίζοντας το The Americans, το The Leftovers αλλά και το 13 Reasons Why χωρίς θέση στην πολυπόθητη κατηγορία.

Έκπληξη προκαλεί η είσοδος του  Genius από το National Geographic στην κατηγορία Outstanding Limited Series, ενώ η Mandy Moore με το This is Us δεν κατάφερε παραδόξως να διεκδικήσει μια θέση στα βραβεία.

Και η τρεις φορές νικήτρια Emmy Claire Danes μένει με άδεια χέρια φέτος, με τη σειρά Homeland, όπως και η Christine Baranski από το The Good Fight.

Ένα μπράβο στην ταλαντούχα  Millie Bobby Brown, με την πρώτη της υποψηφιότητα για το Stranger Things, αλλά και την υπέροχη Winona Ryder στον πρωταγωνιστικό μητρικό ρόλο της ίδιας σειράς.

Η Yvonne Strahovski πέρασε απαρατήρητη από την κατηγορία Outstanding Actress και αυτό μας τρομάζει όλους, αν λάβουμε υπόψιν τον τρομακτική φιγούρα που υποδύθηκε στο The Handmaid’s Tale.

Το The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon καθώς και το Dancing With the Stars δεν διεκδικούν μια θέση στις κατηγορίες Best Variety Talk Series και Outstanding Reality Competition αντίστοιχα- και ήταν αναμενόμενο.

Η 69η απονομή των βραβείων, με οικοδεσπότη τον Stephen Colbert, θα γίνει την Κυριακή 17 Σεπτεμβρίου Microsoft Theater στο Los Angeles, ενώ θα μεταδοθεί live στην Αμερική στο CBS. Δείτε παρακάτω τις υποψηφιότητες αναλυτικά.
